This series brings a selection of accomplished business leaders to campus to share their varied professional and personal insights and provides the opportunity to network with fellow attendees including Alumni, MBA Mentors, faculty and administration.

Born in Tracy, CA, and raised in Southern Idaho, Rob L. Brinkman currently is Chief Administrative Officer of VIZIO, Inc., America’s #1 LCD HDTV Company based in Irvine, CA.  Mr. Brinkman joined VIZIO as VP of Operations in October 2007.  He has day-to-day operational responsibilities for VIZIO’s forward logistics, customer service, technical support and it, along with administrative responsibilities for legal, human resources, and facilities.  One of Mr. Brinkman’s key responsibilities has been the development of a new organizational structure required for VIZIO to attract more customers and grow into new territories.  

With an extensive background in business management for high sales volume companies, Mr. Brinkman joined VIZIO after four years with Princeton Digital where he was the President from 2006 until the company licensed the brand to a key supplier. From 2002-2003 he was the Executive Vice President at Micro Warehouse, where he was responsible for product marketing, purchasing and distribution for the direct marketer. Prior to this, Mr. Brinkman spent eleven years in various high-level positions at the worldwide computer products direct marketer, Insight Enterprises, Inc. where he handled operations at one time or another for North America, the United Kingdom and Germany. 

He received his BS in Computer Mathematics and Business Administration from Northern Arizona University and his Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership at Biola University in La Mirada, CA.  Mr. Brinkman resides in Irvine, CA, with his wife Angie and their son Ryan, 11, and daughter Lily, 7.  The Brinkman family worships at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Irvine, CA and is active with Harvest Crusades.  Mr. Brinkman also sits on the Board of Trustees of the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, Biola University Internship Advisory Council, and is a mentor in Biola’s Crowell School of Business MBA Program.
